The Challenge
A company used specialised software that perfectly met its needs, but was limited to a local installation. With the opening of remote sites, the VPN that was set up quickly showed its limits: slowness, instability and time loss.
Our Solution
Rewriting or replacing the application was not an option, as it matched the needs exactly and the costs would have been prohibitive. Attempts with virtual desktops (VDI) in the public cloud were made, but the required computing power and costs were not in balance. We implemented our own VDI solution, Desktop Anywhere 365 — including backups and security. The software was thus 'cloudified' and is now usable everywhere, with regained flexibility and controlled costs.
